Join us in celebrating Peter Rank’s 20 Year Anniversary
Way back in 2003, we welcomed Peter to our fabrication team in Swanley. So it’s time to celebrate 20 years of Pete!
Firstly, let’s get to know Pete
What was your first day like (if you can remember!?)
I remember the first job I was tasked with was to weld up an Aluminium Body for Thames Waste (the smell will live with me forever!).
What do you like best about your job?
I enjoy the variety – I can be welding or pressing one day, then driving or logistics the next. It keeps me on my toes!
What has made you stay as part of the Transcover family?
I enjoy the role immensely and the company of the people I work with. We have a great team here
How have things changed at Transcover since 2003?
We make a LOT more products than back in 2003! The business has grown so much in 20 years, there has been plenty to learn (and pass on!).
When you’re not fabricating, what do you like to do?
When the welding gloves are off, I like to go fishing in the UK and abroad when I get the chance.
Do you prefer a night in or a night out?
I’m more of a night in kind of guy
What is the last film you saw at the cinema?
It was Avatar – The Way of Water which was brilliant. I can’t wait for Saw X to be released which will be my next trip!
Describe your perfect weekend
My perfect weekend would be a day out at the seaside with all my family
Lastly, what the best piece of advice you’ve been given and can pass on?
Measure twice, cut once!
