Continuous quality improvement the key to moving forward
We started our ISO journey back in January 2015 with the ISO 9001:2008 accreditation and graduated to ISO 9001:2015 in January 2019. Every year since 2015 we are audited by an external company to ensure that all of the quality standards are being met, and company wide we do what we say and say what we do.
ISO 9001:2015 ensures that we are focused on ensuring that all company procedures and processes are adhered to, which enables us to deliver consistent products and support to our customers. ISO is an internationally recognised Quality Management System (QMS) and recognized as the world’s most widely adopted QMS. We have gained a wide range of benefits from the last 8 years of this journey, from identifying our strengths and weaknesses, implementing procedures, understanding cause and effect for our stakeholders and the most important continuous improvement.
Why ISO 9001?
ISO 9001 sets out the criteria for a quality management system and is the only standard in the family that can be certified to (although this is not a requirement). It can be used by any organization, large or small, regardless of its field of activity. In fact, there are over one million companies and organizations in over 170 countries certified to ISO 9001.
This standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual improvement. These principles are explained in more detail in ISO’s quality management principles. Using ISO 9001 helps ensure that customers get consistent, good-quality products and services, which in turn brings many business benefits.
We always have, and always will continue to move forward and improve in everything that we do here at Transcover, this ranges through our products, suppliers, customers & staff.
