
Transcover were thrilled to be invited by long-term Packaging supplier – UK Packaging, for the second year in a row to join them for their charity golf day at Chigwell Golf Club, Essex, raising money for the Sammy Jo Brandon Foundation – who work alongside Children with Cancer UK.
Representing Transcover on the day was accountant Cliff Earl and Machinist Steve Lelean who were joined by over 90 players, including ex Manchester United & England footballer Teddy Sheringham in the all-day event.
UK Packaging Chairman, Tony Dark said ” This is our second event, this all started on behalf of Sammy Brandon, who unfortunately died of cancer. My son Lewis Dark started it on behalf of her and we are trying to keep it going. I’d also like to congratulate Lewis who completed the London Marathon on Sunday with a time of 3 hours, 23 minutes for Sammy again. We wish everyone a great day.”
Transcover have been using UK Packaging for over 10 years now to package all of their goods. Cliff Earl said ” Last year they raised a massive £5,300 pounds and their hoping to do the same this year, I’m here with Steve as unfortunately my boss Paul Hines doesn’t play golf so it got passed onto me and I’ve been invited back for the second year.”

On the day Cliff and Steve were paired with Chris Rawes and Lee Nicholls from FedEx. The winners of the day were :

Cliff and the Transcover team would like to extend our gratitude to UK Packaging for being part of such a great charity event. The event was a huge success, raising £6,871.32 through donations and purchases, beating last years total.
