New hours for the transcover team
Here at Transcover we are currently trialling a shorter week for our employees. Our new opening times are now 8am – 5pm Monday to Thursday and 9am – 1pm on Fridays. So, what’s the reason for this?
Paul Hines our managing director believes this will benefit the company:
‘’We believe It will provide a better work life balance for our staff, improve productivity throughout the company, help retain staff and that incentive for our staff to improve processes. Our staff will hopefully work towards ensuring the products that we produce reach our customers on time and more importantly we want to create a happy work force that pulls together as a team.’’
We spoke to our staff to get an inside on how this is benefiting them and what they are deciding to do with their spare time. Here are some of their responses:
‘’I will be going for tea & cake before picking up the daughter from school while walking the dog.’’

“The new-found free time allows me to get to the gym before everyone else!”
Some staff members have described the change in hours to be benefiting them both in and out of work – “The shorter work hours will encourage me to work a bit keener & push harder to complete tasks within the departments, while also gaining back hours to concentrate on life outside of work and freeing up weekends.”
